Motherhood has taught me...
It is not likely that 2 or more rooms in my house will ever be clean at the same time. I'm pretty sure I've been cleaning my house for 2 weeks now and have yet to have it complete. Being that we spend the majority of our time in the kitchen and living room those two rooms dirty up the fastest and I am constantly cleaning them. Where's a good cleaning fairy when you need it? *Forget fairies, I'll accept gnomes, elves, anything at this point!

Things We Love
Today is the start of Things We Love Thursdays! Up until 2 weeks ago I drove a little Honda Civic. It was a 4 door with just enough leg room to get by, that was up until Daisy arrived. My husband is rather tall 6'2"-6'3" towering over my barely 5'1" frame. We could not put the carseat behind the driver seat because it didn't allow enough room for anyone to get behind the wheel, which is quite the problem when you need to go anywhere! So the carseat went behind the passenger seat, not as bad except that I felt like I was practically hugging the dashboard anytime I got in it! On top of all this you had to turn the carseat at just the right angle to get it in and out of the allotted space between the base and roof.
I've never seen myself as much of a minivan driving mom but after a few car rides and considering greasing up the car seat to get it in/out of the car I never wanted a minivan so bad! We were blessed to find one on Craigslist.com for a very reasonable price! Within a few days we had bought it and I was just plain giddy to have my soccer mom badge! So there you have it, I'm a 24 year old, driving my mommy-mobile minivan and I must say "cruising" has never looked so cool! ;-)

Bathing suit shopping with breastfeeding boobies brings a whole new (and graphic) meaning to the song "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard." Do they make turtle neck style bathing suits??

Gardening minus the green thumb.
My cousin recently posted a few pictures of a beautiful drought tolerant succulent garden she put together. I think I need to make one, not that I live in the desert or anything, I'm just not very maternal when it comes to greenery and quite often forget to water my plants! Anyone who says bamboo never dies should come see the few stalks I just had to throw away!
Speaking of gardens I hope to grow a few veggies this year to make homemade baby food. I've started coming up with a list of things I'd like to grow and as soon as I start the process I plan on blogging all about it! Wish me luck!....Better yet wish my poor plants luck!

Motherhood has taught me...
I have decided to start a few weekly blog post. Tuesdays will now be "Motherhood has taught me" Tuesdays. I have learned so much since becoming a mom, some good, some bad, and lets face it, some just plain ugly-like what my hair is doing during early morning feedings.
Especially today motherhood has taught me that rainy days are the hardest days to get out of my pajamas. Nothing says crawl back in bed with a cup of coffee and watch movies all day quite like a dreary, cloud covered sky spitting a constant mist of rain. Since I have a list a mile long of things I need to accomplish around the house, a 3 month old, and no tv in my bedroom that plan doesn't really work. I guess in this case it's the thought that counts. Soon I will emerge from my pajamas only to change into a t-shirt and pair of yoga pants so comfortable they might as well be pajamas and tackle my list at hand.

Daisy's Whimsical Garden
I have slowly been finishing up the last details in Daisy's nursery. Since she's not sleeping in there yet it didn't seem like that big of a deal that the finishing touches weren't actually finished. I didn't want to just throw stuff together, I wanted to put thought into the decorations I put in her room. I had been wanting to paint some sort of design on one of her walls and I had picked out a few that I liked but none that I just LOVED until I came across this: It was perfect! The swirls, the flowers, it all had a very whimsical feel, perfect for her little nursery! My mom informed me the other day that I needed to hurry and finish her room before she decides she wants "pop stars" on her walls! This got me all in a tizzy! So without further ado, and before my daughter comes down with "Bieber Fever" and plasters the new king of pop's face all over her wall, here is a look into Daisy's Whimsical Garden.

8 GLORIOUS hours!
Daisy slept 8 straight hours last night! Meaning I got to sleep from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am! Hallelujah!! AND after a quick breakfast she went back to sleep for another 3 hours! This being said, for the first time in at least 3 months I was able to fix a decent breakfast before I was completely famished, I was able to eat without holding a baby/rocking a baby/nursing a baby, and I didn't have to scarf my meal down in fear that she would wake up hungry in the middle of it! I may not be able to tell you tomorrow morning what I had for breakfast today but I should at least be able to remember what I ate until lunch! My head is currently spinning....8 hours....!!! I don't even know what to do with myself! So far 8 hours of sleep and a satisfying breakfast haven't helped me get out of my PJs before noon but progress is progress!

Bargain Shoppers eat your heart out!
Nothing gets me excited like a great find at an amazing price! I'd much rather "shop" at a thrift store than a mall any day of the week. Talk about treasure hunting! It's my favorite! When it comes to baby clothes I find it ridiculous to pay full price for something that is only going to be worn for roughly 3 months. And to top it all off, because the clothes are worn for such a short amount of time most of them can be found without a blemish! Last week I ventured out to do a little bargain shopping at 2 local thrift stores and I hit the mother load! I got sizes ranging from 6 months to 4T. My pocket is only $55 lighter but Daisy's closet is much fuller!
These 4 items all had their tags attached equaling $76!
